Introduction

These nightmarish dungeons are more difficult versions of the original dungeons using the Elite Monsters system.

Nightmare dungeons are made to revive the experience of classic Ragnarok dungeons but at a harder level!

How to access them?

They are located at the entrance of each dungeon.

In order to open an instance, you will need Nightmare Keys.

  • Each MvP killed has a chance of dropping them. For more information, please check the following table:

MvPs' Nightmare Keys drop rate
1st key 2nd key 3rd key
(MvP's Level x MvP's Level x MvP's Level /10)% [(MvP's Level x MvP's Level x MvP's Level /10) /3]% [(MvP's Level x MvP's Level x MvP's Level /10) /10]%

  • Mini-Bosses from Midgard North's Fields drop them at a 1~5% chance, depending on the area.
  • Mini-Bosses from Midgard North's Dungeons drop them at a 10% chance.

These keys can also be obtained through Nightmare King at Midgard's City. He will exchange Nightmare Keys if you give him items that are listed in the table below :

Nightmare Dungeons

There are several difficulty levels among Nightmares.

This difficulty level affects the amount of Nightmare Key required to generate the instance.

Big Treasure Chest reward ratio individually depends on the nightmare itself. Rewards ratio is written besides nightmare's name.

Nightmare Dungeons suffer from a 24 hours cooldown.

Rewards ?

You can find Gems that can be inserted in the 3rd slot of an equipment ! (See Gem section).

Nightmare MVPs drop their own Charms. Charms are a type of equipment that you can equip in the 'Special window' where costumes are located. Their effect is a minor version of their MVP Card effect. (See Charms section).

A Big treasure chest appears at the end of the dungeon giving a lot of rewards.
