Map Items

Introduction

Map items have been one of the greatest feature of all time in all our project.

• The concept is simple ! Every time a monster is killed, there is a chance to get a Map Item. This item depends on the level of the monsters you killed. If you are in a Dungeon, you will have more chance to get a Map Item. If you are in a Temple, even more, and so on. The harder the map is, the better quality the Map Item will be.

How it works ?

• Each monster killed has 0.2% chance to drop a Map Item.
  • A Map Item is a special equipement engraved with Qualities.

Number of Qualities	Chance to obtain
1st Quality	MonsterLevel x2
2nd Quality	(MonsterLevel - 50) / 2
3rd Quality	(MonsterLevel - 75) / 3

  You can also get Map Items thanks to Benedictions' Porings !

If a player has 10% more chance to find a Map Item, then, the chance goes up to 0.11%.
If a player has a +10% Level Bonus for Map Items, the item generated will see its level goes up by 10%.

• The item created will be given randomly to a team member on the same map.

You can't get Map Items on monsters below level 10.

• 3 types of Map Items exist :
  • Equipements.
  • A batch of consumables.
  • Boxes like Old Purple Box or even greater rewards.

Dismantle Gears

  Any equipement that received at least one quality can be dismantled at the Qualities NPC in order to get Moonstones.

How do I get the rarest Map Item ?

  First of all, what is an Item Level, also mentionned as "ilvl" ?
  This is a value used to categorized an item in an appropriate treshold regarding its power.

Upon a monster kill, its level is saved in order to input the value in the formula.

Then the number of qualities engraved in it is immediately calculated. You can have from 0 to 3 qualities on the same Map Item.

Each quality added reduces the item level by 15.

• Chances to get qualities :
  • Monster's Level x 2 percent chance to get a first quality.
  • (Monster's Level - 50) / 2 percent chance to get a second quality.
  • (Monster's Level - 75) / 3 percent chance to get a third quality.

Minimum Map Item level will be Level 10.

• The potentially obtained item will be picked up in a newly made list based on the values above, but take note that there is a minimum and maximum ilvl calculated for an item.
  • Minimum ilvl will be 25% of the monster's level.
  • Maximum ilvl will be 100% of the monster's level.

Example

Informations :

You kill an Anubis and obtain a Map Item upon its death. Its level was 75.

How many qualities will it be engraved with ?

• Chance to get the first quality : 75 x 2 = 150%
• Chance to get the second quality : (75 - 50) / 2 = 12.5%
• Chance to get the third quality : (75 - 75) / 3 = Basically 0%

• Meaning you will have at least one quality, and 12.5% chance to get a two-qualities item.

What will be my Map Item ?

• Let's determine the newly formed list based on 25 to 100% of monster's level.
  • 25% of level 75 is calculated thanks to : 30 x 75 / 100 = 18.75
  • 100% of level 75 is calculated thanks to : 100 x 75 / 100 = 75

chances to have equip, items or box are seperated, respectively 0.1%, 0.3% and 0.15%, before that is was 0.2% to have one of them randomly, so roughly 0.06% each Your Map Item will be located in an ilvl range from 18 to 75.
Since you will at least get one quality on this item, it will decrease by 15 per quality obtained.

• If it has been determined that your item will have two qualities, you will have a range of ilvl between 18 - 15 x 2, can't go lower than 1 and 75 - 15 x 2. The ilvl will be situated between 1 and 45.
